Many of you are likely familiar with iFixit's various toolkits, even if you don't own one. They have gained worldwide fame for offering affordable, high-quality tools. Now, Corsair has entered the toolkit market with its PC DIY Precision Toolkit, which is similar to iFixit's Mako Driver Kit. Both kits include a flexible extension rod, but Corsair surpasses iFixit in terms of the driver handle. Corsair's handle has a better grip and the top cap is made of aluminum instead of plastic. The kits also have similar boxes, both secured with magnets and featuring a magnetic insert in the lid to hold screws in place while you work.

The two toolkits differ in the types of bits they provide. Corsair offers extremely fine tool sizes, especially for Philips and pentalobe, compared to iFixit. However, iFixit has smaller Torx sizes in their kit. Corsair also offers more socket bits, but lacks some other bits like the SIM ejection bit and a magnetic pick-up bit. Overall, Corsair provides 65 bits compared to iFixit's 64, so it depends on which bits are most useful to you. Additionally, Corsair's kit is priced $5 lower than iFixit's, with an MSRP of $34.99.
