The mini PC market has been experiencing significant growth, and GEEKOM is striving to establish itself as a leader with its competitively priced and decently performing machines, thanks in large part to its partnership with ASUS. While details about their upcoming mini PC are scarce, we know that it will be available in configurations based on either the Ryzen 7 7840HS or Ryzen 9 7940HS processors. This new model will deviate from the ASUS PN series design, featuring an aluminum chassis that draws inspiration from Apple's Mac Mini. Whether this change is due to a vendor switch or internal research and development efforts will likely be revealed upon its launch. Apart from the rounded corners, bead blasted aluminum finish, and rear I/O layout on a black accent fascia plate, the machine differs from the Mac Mini in terms of its compact size, measuring just 112.4 x 112.4 mm (4.43 in). Despite its small frame, the mini PC offers a decent array of I/O options, including three 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports, a 5 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port, a 40 Gbps and a 10 Gbps Type C port, each capable of supporting DisplayPort output, two HDMI ports, a 2.5G Ethernet jack, an SD Card reader on the side, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack at the front.

GEEKOM is expected to launch this new mini PC model in Asia within the next month, with worldwide availability to follow soon after. Competitors offering similar hardware configurations have been on the market for a few months now and have recently been discounted to around $600 USD, with barebone unit prices dropping even lower. GEEKOM faces a significant challenge in providing competitive value in this crowded market.
